DUATs briefings now available on PilotGEEK Cell Briefer
In a continuing effort to provide private pilots the most comprehensive and up-to-date information necessary for safe travel, PilotGEEK, LLC, an innovative business that develops software-based products for private pilots, has again enhanced its popular Cell Briefer by allowing subscribers to receive DUATs briefings via their cell phone. In addition, a copy of the briefing is automatically emailed to subscribers’ registered email address for back-up and future reference.
The optimized DUATs briefing is designed to provide information in much the same way as an FSS briefer. Information is optimized based upon the requested route. For example, runway NOTAMs are provided for the origination and destination airports but not for all en route airports. Briefing optimization can reduce 15 pages worth of information to a targeted and manageable amount of data for easy access and readability on a cell phone. And METARs, TAFs and NOTAMs are provided in a simple to read format, as well. Never again will you need to know that AD CLSD 1700 means that the aerodrome is closed at 17:00 Zulu!
