View vital data via web page, text messaging or e-mail
MANSFIELD, MA, JUNE 30, 2006 … PilotGEEK, LLC, an innovative business that develops software-based products for private pilots, announces the availability of its Cell Briefer, a system that allows pilots to access weather data, flight restriction and other pertinent information through use of a cellular phone.
Designed to provide an easy view of METAR, TFR, TAF data and local FSS phone numbers, the PilotGEEK Cell Briefer is operational through multiple modes, providing at-your-fingertips access to vital information.
The PilotGEEK web site, optimized for the cell phone, builds a cell phone web page that includes requested information, such as METAR, TAF, TAF and FSS data.
The PilotGEEK text message interface provides the same comprehensive information as the cell phone web page mode, but via a cell phone’s text messaging system.
The PilotGEEK event driven messaging system allows receipt of cell phone e-mail when weather or TFR data changes occur.
“I’m proud to present what I believe will be an important product to all private pilots,” said Tom Nery, Manager of PilotGEEK, LLC. “The easy access to critical weather and safety information our PilotGEEK Cell Briefer offers is certain to fill a need in the aviation industry.”
