PilotGEEK’s Tom Nery Attends Cherokee Flyin & Convention in Missouri
MANSFIELD, MA, JUNE 30, 2006 … Tom Nery, manager of PilotGEEK, LLC, an innovative business that develops software-based products for private pilots, recently attended the 4th annual Cherokee Flyin & Convention in Osage Beach, MO, where he demonstrated the PilotGEEK, LLC Cell Briefer to a select group of private pilots.
The three-day event provided the perfect opportunity for Nery to speak with a number of pilots about the PilotGEEK Cell Briefer, a briefing system that allows pilots to access weather data, flight restriction and other pertinent information through use of a cellular phone or PC.
Designed to provide an easy view of METAR’s, TFR’s, local flight service numbers and more, the PilotGEEK Cell Briefer was met with enthusiasm and for one fly-in participant its technology came in handy.
“The PilotGEEK Cell Briefer notified me of a pop-up TFR on the East Coast during the fly-in,” said veteran pilot Cora Ellies. “Having access to such important and automatic information definitely helped me plan my return trip.”
